| Description In Hungary the coot is a common breeder on wetlands and at middle elevations. Large flocks gather on fishponds in late summer. Migrant (February-November), overwinters in varying numbers mainly on Lake Balaton and the Danube. Habitat Can be found in the following IBAs 04 Kis-Balaton |
