| Description The Roller in Hungary breeds in small numbers across the Great Plain. Prefers open country with scattered woods, especially sandy plains and gallery woodlands. Nowadays rare to Transdanubia. The overall population has declined drastically, though it has recently begun to slowly recover on the Great Plain. Migrant (April-September).
