| Description In Hungary the Aquatic Warbler breeds in small numbers on extensive sedgy grasslands, tussocky marshes and wet pastures in the Hortobágy. Its breeding was first confirmed in 1971 and population has steadily increased since the late 1970s. Migrant (April-August), but rare on passage in other parts of the country.
