We have developed this one-day trip for birders who just like to walk in the nature without any rush for ticking rare species. On these Saturdays we will focus on three colourful species the Bee-eater, Hoopoe and the Kingfisher and will spend enough time to fully admire their beauty.

In the morning we will drive to an area near to the Danube where we start our colourful birding day. First we will go to a place where Bee-eaters can be found in large number. The bright and striking colours of a Bee-eater make it a pleasure to see whenever it is encountered. We can have a good view how these birds are flying and hunting for insects and we will spend at least an hour by admiring these beauties.

Once we feel that we should see other species as well, we try to find the Hoopoe. This long-billed, unwary bird is the subject of folklore in many countries throughout its range. We hope we will be lucky enough to see it searching the ground with its long, curved bill for insects and worms. If we are in the right time we can hear his call, which is a deep 'hoo-poo-poo'. After we have found this beauty we will have our lunch.

In the afternoon we are going to see another wonderful bird the Kingfisher. This flying diamond can be found while we will walking along the river-bank. It's fairly common along slow-running river and we will visit a couple of spots where it is regularly fishing. We hope we will see how it swoops and hear its loud rattling call telling you he is the best fisher all over the river! During the day beside the Bee-eater, Hoopoe and Kingfisher we probably will be able to see Woodpeckers, Golden Oriole, Penduline Tit, Corn Bunting and other local birds as well.
