48 Öreg Lake of Tata
Description
The lake is situated along the Által stream, and is bordered by the town of Tata. It is the largest area of standing water in the district, and has an average depth of 2.3 m when full. Following temporary drainage for fish-farming, shallow water pools and inlets cover large areas. Beside the Lake Öreg the feeding fields of the wintering and migrating geese also form part of the IBA. Human activities include boating and angling.
